My 16-Year AutoNation Career

Before CarSaver, I spent 16 years at AutoNation — the nation's largest automotive retailer. This frontline-to-enterprise path gave me one of the rarest backgrounds in automotive digital retail.

From Showroom Floor to Enterprise Product Leadership

The Entire Automotive Funnel

  • Showroom Sales: Started as a top-performing salesperson with high CSI and strong close rates. Learned the real mechanics of dealer operations, objections, trade-ins, financing, and customer experience.
  • Sales Leadership: Promoted into sales management roles, coaching teams and driving consistent performance across multiple stores.
  • National Call Center Management: Managed AutoNation's National Call Center, supporting hundreds of rooftops. Improved lead response times, appointment show rates, scripts, and routing efficiency at scale.
  • Systems Ownership: Oversaw all sales, service, and strategic systems used across the retailer — including CRM, BDC tools, service scheduling, payment integrations, and trade valuation systems.
  • Enterprise Product Leadership: Led product roadmaps for 14 major enterprise software products used by dealerships, call centers, and millions of online shoppers. Built digital retail workflows, payment tools, in-store experiences, and integrated ecommerce solutions.
  • Digital Retail Strategy: Partnered with engineering, UX, and operations to shape AutoNation's long-term ecommerce and digital retail strategy. Known for translating real dealer operations into scalable digital solutions.

Good product is built with real operational empathy — understanding what breaks in reality. I've been the salesperson, the manager, and the systems architect.

Every feature must have a defined business outcome

I care about measurable results: conversion lift, lead quality, response times, appointment show rates, and long-term retention. Outcomes over outputs.

AI should eliminate busywork, not complicate workflows

AI-driven segmentation, lead routing, and automation should make dealers faster and smarter — not add complexity or require training.

Build systems, not one-offs

I think in systems: reusable components, repeatable processes, and automation that compounds over time. Scale through structure.

Health Optimization & Performance

Peak performance at work requires peak health outside of it. I treat my body like a system — track metrics, run experiments, optimize continuously.

DNA-Driven Optimization: I use DNA analysis (23andMe, FoundMyFitness) to personalize supplement planning, identify genetic predispositions, and tailor my nutrition protocols to my unique biology.

Daily Metrics Tracking: I track glucose (CGM), HRV (heart rate variability), body composition, sleep quality, and recovery markers. Data drives decisions — not guesswork.

High-Protein, Performance-Focused Nutrition: My diet targets fat loss, muscle retention, and sustained energy. I experiment with meal timing, macronutrient ratios, and targeted supplements to optimize focus and recovery.

Structured Lifestyle Optimization: Resistance training, sleep hygiene, stress management, and building AI systems to automate health recommendations. GeneFuel started as a selfish project to combine my DNA, labs, and lifestyle data into one actionable platform.

Better health means better energy, sharper focus, and clearer decision-making — which translates directly to better outcomes at work and home.

Life Outside the Inbox

Husband and dad first, everything else second.

Family: I live in Westlake, Florida with my wife and three kids — a teenager and twins who keep life fun, loud, and never boring. Most of my time outside work is spent with them, building things at home, and staying active.

Personal Style & Values: Builder mindset. Bias for speed. Rapid iteration and constant improvement. Direct, clear, and fast. Highly creative but incredibly structured. Obsessed with solving problems and turning ideas into systems. I prefer shipping over theorizing.

Interests: DIY projects, gaming, home automation, tech experiments, and building systems that create freedom — automating work, optimizing health, building passive income streams. All so I can spend more time with the people who matter most.

What Drives Me: Never satisfied with "good enough." Able to see 10 steps ahead. Constantly asking: How can this be faster, clearer, better? The goal is optionality, freedom, and long-term impact.
